MAPEI’s Di Tempora to Retire, New CEO for the Americas Named

MAPEI Americas has announced the retirement of Nick Di Tempora, President and CEO, after 23 years with the company; Di Tempora will be succeeded by Ranier M. Blair, who has spent the past 16 years with BASF Corp. Di Tempora will remain as an adviser to Blair, who will function as deputy CEO during the transition period, according to the company.
“We want to thank Nick Di Tempora for his many, many years of successful leadership in guiding MAPEI Americas to its current strong position in the market,” said Dr. Giorgio Squinzi, CEO of the MAPEI Group. “We are happy that he will ensure continuity for the company by staying on as an advisor, while Rainer Blair assumes the reins of management,” Squinzi added.
Blair, who will be based at MAPEI’s headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Fla, most recently served as group vice president for BASF’s coating businesses in North America. Blair earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and his Master’s degree from Boston University.
