The Tile Contractors Association of America recently honored Robert L. Smyth with the Giacomo DeLazzero Lifetime Achievement Award at TCAA’s 98th annual convention in San Francisco. Smyth, who founded Western Tile and Marble with his uncle 50 years ago, has played a key role in the association since joining in 1963.

Miles for tiles: company brings customers to Coverings
Miles Distributing is going the distance for 2007 Coverings this April 17-20 in Chicago, leasing a caravan of coach buses to bring its customers to the doorsteps of McCormick Place Convention Center. In protecting the company’s tiles, including kitchen backsplashes and counters, bathroom floors and tub and shower surrounds, Q-Seal’s protective shield “beads up” stain-causing liquids for cleaning.
