John Turner, Sr., general manager of Dal-Tile Corp.’s commercial sales
and national accounts, has been selected to receive the Carl V. Cesery Award
from the Tile Contractors’ Association of America (TCAA). The award will be
presented at the TCAA 2008 Convention scheduled for Nov. 8-10 in Orlando, Fla.
The Award recognizes individuals who have served
the American tile trade with great distinction. According to TCAA Board
President Jerry Leva, Sr., "John Turner, Sr. is a true asset to our
industry. His unsurpassed knowledge and unwavering commitment have benefited us
all. We are grateful for his outstanding service and proud to honor him with
the Cesery Award."
Turner has served the tile industry since 1972
with Pomona Tile (a Division of American Olean). He has served on numerous
industry boards and committees including: Board of Directors - National Tile
Contractors Association; Board of Directors - National Floor Safety Institute;
and, has served as Strategic Planning Advisor to the Board of Directors of TCAA
and Chair of its Supplier Council. He is a member of Construction Specification
Institute (CSI), certified as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) and
is a Ceramic Tile Consultant (CTC).
The Tile Contractors’ Association of America
(TCAA) is a national trade association representing tile and stone installation
companies throughout the United States who are members of the International
Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen.
