GerrityStone is being showcased in York Maine’s 20th
Annual Decorator Show House presented by the Museums of Old York. The Show
House, now open and running through August 15th, “is considered one
of New England’s landmark decorating events and represents a true collaboration
of some of the regions’ most talented interior designers,” the company says.
This year’s featured home is the historic McIntire Farm.
Working with renowned interior designer Frank Hodge, who designed the home’s
farmhouse-styled kitchen, GerrityStone custom fabricated and crafted
pieces of 1-1/2” Irish Grey Limestone, a stone that ties into York’s identity
as a seaside getaway.
Embedded and preserved in this particular limestone are
fossilized seashells. “It is like the perfect ingredient to an old family
recipe,” states Dawn Carroll, director of GerrityStone’s Architectural
Division. “This stone evokes the wonder of yesteryear and is a perfect choice
for Mr. Hodges’ exceptional kitchen design.”
